Cooks Social has the space and amenities to make your stay unforgettable.
The full Cooks Social experience. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, open-plan kitchen, and living areas that spill out onto the pool deck. The swim-jet pool sits just beyond the back doors, the covered outdoor kitchen is set up for a proper group dinner, and the games garage is down the side with a projector screen and table tennis.
Same property, same pool, same BBQ setup — just with three bedrooms instead of five. The Social Base suits smaller groups who want the Cooks Social experience without a full house. There’s still an ensuite off the main bedroom, a modern kitchen, and full use of everything outside.
Social Plus gives you the full house — five bedrooms across the property, three bathrooms, and space for up to 10 guests. Social Base uses the main house’s three core bedrooms and two bathrooms, and suits groups of up to 6. Both options give every guest full access to the swim-jet pool, outdoor spa, games garage, and covered BBQ area. The main difference is how many people you’re bringing and how many bedrooms you need.
Yes — it’s one of the better-set-up properties for groups on the Coromandel. The Social Plus option sleeps up to 10 across five bedrooms, with enough bathrooms that mornings don’t become a queue situation. The outdoor area — covered BBQ, pool deck, and outdoor kitchen — is genuinely big enough for the whole group to eat and hang out together. The games garage works well for a mixed-age group where not everyone wants to be in the same space at the same time.
The pool is open year-round for all guests, regardless of which booking option you choose. It’s a full-size swim-jet pool with resistance jets at one end — designed for actual swimming as well as general use. Alongside the pool there’s an outdoor spa. Both are part of your stay, not extras, and they’re set up on the same deck so people can move between them easily.
The Games Garage is a separate entertainment space on the property — separate from the main living areas, which is useful when you’ve got a group with different ideas about how to spend an afternoon. It has a projector setup for movies, a table tennis table, and space to hang out. It’s a good option on overcast days or for younger guests who’d rather be in there than at the beach.
Yes. The property is set up well for families — the pool and spa are on a private section so there’s no sharing with other guests, the games garage keeps younger guests occupied, and the covered outdoor kitchen and BBQ area makes feeding a larger family group easier than most holiday homes. The beach is a 5-minute walk from the property, and Lonely Bay — which is sheltered and calm — is a short drive. A few things to note: the pool does not have a safety fence, so parents should supervise young children around the pool area.
Cooks Social is your private, sun-soaked escape at Cooks Beach.
With space for families and friends, a pool, spa, and covered BBQ area, it's coastal living made easy — just a short stroll to the beach.
